Meditation

Meditation is a way of travelling inward on a path of self awareness and acceptance in order to remedy the natural overthinking and over analytical nature our minds tend to fall into.

It is not an easy practice but ultimately leads to a better understanding of ourselves and the hardships we face.

With meditation practice we get better at keeping calm, being patient and learn to not be at the mercy of our uncontrollable thoughts that swirl around in our heads during our day to day routines.

The benefits of continual meditation practice include less stress, boosted immune system, healthier digestion, a natural positive outlook, and improved sleep quality

An increase in calmness and positivity is the overall outcome of regular meditation.

So why is not everyone meditating?

There are multiple reasons.

We are living in a fast paced society in which people want the quickest fix possible. Patience is in short supply and for most people the idea of spending 10-15 minutes a day finding stillness, is unbearable.

Meditation progress is slow, and requires bravery.

For people who have trauma or problems with anxiety would more likely seek either a professional to talk to or medication as a remedy to this inner tension

Meditation over Medication is the better way

Practice in mind stillness also presents its own inner challenges that could vary depending on the person.

Gathering for group meditations is like adding more wood to a fire.

The energy will grow bigger and brighter.

Once we can achieve a greater sense of inner peace. It will affect all those around us in the most meaningful way.
